OVERVIEW:
It was never originally envisaged that
Animal fencing would be included in this
portfolio, but much interest has been
shown in this high tensile wire, heavily
galvanised product available quickly
and in large quantities, so now it has
been added. Particular interest in the
fast steel fence system and the tractor
mounted de-coiling machine.
USE:
As the title indicates, most use for animal containment, especially in the geographical area we concentrate on for deer, either for farmers to protect their crops or highway borders.
SIZE:
In this product we concentrate on the high tensile product. The author has a farming background so knows the benefits of animal fencing made from wire that doesn't collapse when pushed by animals or climbed by man. In this paragraph we use a code:
HT = High tensile wire - heavy weight
LHT = High Tensile wire - Light weight
AB/xx/xx The number of horizontal wires

Roll length normally 100m but longer up to 500m are available if Quickfencer system employed.
POSTS:
The most popular type of post is round, peeled, and treated softwood.
Size depends on fence height but minimum 75mm top diameter for fences up to 1.22m high and 100mm top diameter for higher. Straining posts, typically 125-150mm diameter. All driven into ground.
Alternatively and recommended.
Cold rolled high tensile, heavily galvanised steel posts with integral lugs for attaching mesh. Posts with ground sockets with thrust plates for driving into ground. Posts fit into the ground sockets.
Straining posts and struts also fitted into ground sockets.
SECURITY ON TOP OF FENCE :
Timber posts of sufficient height above ground to carry requisite number of rows of barbed wire.
Steel posts, either vertically extended or cranked at 30° to carry barbed wire.
FINISH:
Timber posts to be pressure impregnated with preservative. Steel posts - heavily galvanised with aluminium content, the best available, alternatively plastic coated over zinc to RAL 6005 Green. Manufacturers 10 year guarantee given.
INSTALLATION:
Timber posts driven into ground by tractor mounted post driver. Steel posts - sockets driven into ground by pneumatic hammer.
No digging or concreting required with this system.
For long fence lines we recommend the Quickfencer tractor mounted de-coiling system, either for mesh or multi line plain or barbed wire. (See illustration.)
This product is included in the portfolio and can be supplied. Up to 1500m fence can be installed in one day.
