USE: For areas with the highest security rating.
CONSTRUCTION: The system comprises of a horizontal array of wires, spaced at approx 100m apart,
and fitted to a purpose built physical fence or structure by bespoke insulated posts. The electric fence post is designed
to be welded, bolted or tech screwed to the inside of the existing fence post and comprises of UV stabilised insulators
through which the bare HT wire passes. These wires are strained between two purpose built posts of suitable section to
withstand the combined straining of the wires; these straining posts are installed no more than 150m apart. The physical
barrier must be greater than 1.8m in height and of good integrity.
OPERATION
The perimeter or boundary is split into multiple zones of distance no greater than 150m. A high voltage pulse of electricity
is sent through these wires to firstly give deterrent shock if touched, climbed or cut and secondly detection if an attack
is sustained. The fully integrated software package graphically displays the alarm on site specific maps and will allow
full high-level integration with access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, biometrics and other systems. The user interface
will allow full control either manually or automatically schedule, giving security personnel the ability to isolate gates
and other strategic entry points during working hours.
SAFETY
All control equipment are designed and manufactured to meet IEC 603352-76 and is CE marked.
False alarms are virtually unheard of, as the system is designed to distinguish from interference
from wildlife or debris and security breaches. The system is unaffected from adverse weather
conditions such as snow, rain, fog, ice and high wind situations. All electrified fences to carry
yellow warning signs at maximum 10m distances.
The system is recognised by all major property insurers and indeed is specified by many.
Premiums have been suitably adjusted when proven and approved electrified fence detection systems are installed.
POWER SUPPLY:
Electrified fence detection systems operate from normal, single phase supply.
INSTALLATION
Electrified fencing systems can only be installed by accredited dealers with the
necessary theoretical and practical training. The manufacturers reserve the option
to check and authorise installed works and will issue Certificates of Conformity to
the Manufacturer's Code of Practice.
