USE:
For general and commercial use, especially where low maintenance and especially
in aggressive environments and also where discreet PIDS (Personnel Intruder Detection System) is a requirement.
SIZE
Standard panel height up to 2430mm in increments of 200mm and panel width 2.50mm. Higher fence heights obtained by
additional panels above – up to a height of 8m. For special applications also a 3200 mm panel is available but is
somewhat difficult from the transportation point of view.
CONSTRUCTION:
Fully welded mesh panels with vertical wires 6mm.Standard mesh 50/200, mesh with vertical
s at 25mm centres also available. Horizontals of ‘u’ shaped section 15mm x 9 mm pierced off centre for vertical wires. U-profiles
rounded at the top end for improved corrosion protection. All U-sections with fixing tongue at one end of each horizontal and a
long hole at the other end for endless installation. Variable fence to be adapted to suit sloping grounds.
POSTS
The section of posts depend on fence height but typically for 2.4m above ground, 60mm x 40mm RHS. Larger for higher fences.
No straining posts required for this type of fence construction. For sloping grounds posts should be correspondingly longer.
If Personnel intruder detection system (PIDS)used then panels on slopes can run with the contours.
FIXINGS
This type of fence is fitted to the posts with high tensile wrap around clips. Number on clamps depends on fence height but typically
6 for a 2.40 high panel. The panels themselves joined in the run by M16 stainless steel screws rather than on the post
This allows faster installation time.
SECURITY TO TOP OF THE FENCE
- Single 45º or double Y-shaped arm for three rows of twin strand barbed wire at 150mm centre.

- Mesh panels can be pressed horizontally to give 45º crank 250mm or 450mm long single or double leaning in, out, or both.
This type of fence because of its construction can accommodate a microphonic vibration sensitive cable under the horizontal
U-Profile – one cable only even for 2.4m high panels. The cables are concealed and protected from weather so no cable boxes necessary.
FINISH
All panels and posts have a TRIPLEX plus treatment: hot dipped galvanised, powder primer and powder top coating in four standard colours,
moss green, stone grey, anthracite and white. This is the best finish on mesh panels available – 3 layers of protection! with a 25 year guarantee.
INSTALLATION
Posts into foundations suitable for fence height with average depth 750mm x 300mm square or diameter. Post set in concrete foundations or
on base plates depending on the fence height.
